CBS began its core business in delivering banking and enterprise solutions to major banks and multinational manufacturing industries in Malaysia.  With the proven solution expertise, CBS developed its proprietary RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) solution, branded as Solmate™ and its e-security software, branded as Paymate™ in the year 2000.  In April 2004, CBS was successfully listed on Bursa Malaysia’s MESDAQ Market and has prospered with its proprietary products Solmate™ and Paymate™. Since 2004, CBS has embarked on many pioneering RFID projects locally as well as internationally.

When RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is still at its infancy stage in the world, CBS had taken the lead in developing Solmate™, the RFID solutions for the industry in year 2001. With our firm belief in RFID as a future ubiquitous technology, CBS co-organise the “RFID Real Lessons” Convention with the International RFID Business Associate (International RFIDba), a non-profit organisation based in U.S.A, to provide a vendor-neutral avenue for RFID solutions providers and users to share knowledge and experiences in year 2005. CBS spearheaded the formation of the Malaysian chapter of RFIDba with this International RFID Business Association to serve as the platform to steadily encourage education, growth and the development of RFID technology in Malaysia.

CBS is the first company in this region to implement the RFID solution known as Artifact Management system (R.E.M.S) for the National Museum of Malaysia and Warehouse Management System (W.M.S) to manage counterfeit products for the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. The success stories continued with the implementation of RFID Document Management System (DocTrax) for one of the largest local Islamic banks in 2006. Recent implementation of RFID Warehouse Management System (RWMS) by national utility company, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, has successfully delivered substantial savings on its high value warehouse materials.

In April 2009, CBS won prestigious awards from Frost and Sullivan on South East Asia RFID Vertical Market Penetration Leadership Award. This Award is recognition given to CBS for leading or piloting so many RFID projects in Malaysia and most of these projects were first of its kind in the world.

CBS latest strategy in expanding its supply chain businesses lead to the recent acquisition of Infodata Media Sdn Bhd (IMSB).  IMSB is the developer and provider of e-commerce solutions and operator or e-commerce platforms.  IMSB operates online directory/portals as well as publishing business directory journals under the brand name of Super Pages. The acquisition facilitates CBS to accelerate its establishment on CBS’s supply chain based Software as a Service (“SaaS”) business model. The group of supply chain customers under IMSB are bridges to strengthen CBS core business with immediate expansion into supply chain community in the region.
